A very successful recipe for a super moist chocolate cake from what every housewife always has in the fridge. The chocolate cake is made without eggs and without butter, so it is inexpensive, but very tasty, and has a rich chocolate flavor.

This chocolate cake can remain a lean pastry, but I decided to show you a festive version of a chocolate moist cake that my loved ones love – a cake with chocolate plum cream and chocolate frosting (see video recipe).

Ingredients (for 8 servings)

  • Vegetable oil – 50 ml
  • Water – 200 ml
  • Cocoa powder – 4 tbsp.
  • instant coffee – 1 tsp.
  • Sugar – 200 gr
  • Flour – 1,5 cup (approx. 200 gr.)
  • Soda – 1 tsp.
  • Vinegar – 1-2 tsp.
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Vanillin – to taste

Mix flour, cocoa, salt and vanilla.

In another bowl mix water, vegetable oil, coffee and sugar.

Then combine the dry mixture and the liquid mixture. Add the baking soda dissolved in vinegar, and knead the dough.

Grease a baking dish (cover the bottom of the dish with greased parchment) and sprinkle with flour.

Pour the dough into the form. Send the chocolate cake bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Let the finished chocolate cake cool and remove it from the mold.

If you wish, the lean chocolate cake can be cut into several layers and smeared with any cream or jam, as well as cover the chocolate cake with chocolate glaze.
